Three steps: register an app, get a token, make a call.

1. Register an app

Every client that talks to the API needs a registered app. Register one and note the client ID and secret it gives you — the secret is shown once and can't be recovered later.

2. Get an access token

Send a company's owner to Connect, then run the OAuth2 authorization-code flow described in Authentication to get an access token scoped to the permissions your app needs. Connect has the whole guide, including writes and webhooks.

3. Make your first call

Call any endpoint your token is scoped for, with the token as a bearer credential:
